Color Story
For
my color stories I have prepared 4 different stories in the form of 4
paragraphs instead of one story with different colors.
The
sun was glowing red like embers from a fire. As the
apaches smeared there war paint, preparing for a
great fight. The youngest grabs his satchel,
holding his gun. He pulls out the gun in an attempt to kill the white man and spill his dark, metallic blood.
The
pastures were so green, that everything you saw for miles was emerald colored land reaching over
the distant horizon. The cows quickly made their way upon the raised luscious pastures of
delight of North Dakota. They have been traveling for what seems like an eternity
to taste the intense, luscious
food fit for the gods.
The
angelic, ghostly, white cloud of smoke spills out of the
doorway, begging someone to open the door with pure curiosity. A young man wearing a long,
droopy, faded lab coat reaches to the almost invisible, white,
ancient knob to open the ghostly remnants. As he swung the door open he has greeted
by songbirds and people wearing white robes levitating in the air. Then he finally
understood he was in the place where many people choose not to acknowledge
after death.
The
depressed orange tree was utterly alone in the world of talking fruit trees.
His only friends decided to leave him to hang out with the cooler fruits named Andy the apricot, and his gang of misfits. His misfits
consist of Tyler the tangerine, and buddy the blood
orange. And since Omar the orange was alone he couldn’t make friends
with the yellow fruits or the red fruits because his parents taught him growing
up that orange fruits don’t associate with other colors no matter what and this
haunted Omar in his last few days alive before he was brutally
squeezed by a human, sealing his destiny as a humans
breakfast drink. Some say Omar died in honor, others say he died scared
and helpless all we know is that he didn’t have a happy life.

That last bit about Omar being " brutually squeezed by a human" is both entertaining and sad, as I often find myself giving inanimate objects feelings myself. I see a lot of promise in the passage about the guy in the lab coat realizing he "was in the place where many people choose not to acknowledge after death" and I could see you expanding that to a bigger story. Thanks, Tanner!
ReplyDeleteI loved your pieces. I loved the first one in which you used the color red especially. The line that was really fantastic to me was, "The sun was glowing red like embers from a fire. As the Apaches smeared there war paint, preparing for a great fight." Awesome writing!
ReplyDeleteYou're Awesome,
Taylor

Delete"The depressed orange tree was utterly alone in the world of talking fruit trees." deep. This is very deep. "His only friends decided to leave him to hang out with the cooler fruits named Andy the apricot, and his gang of misfits. His misfits consist of Tyler the tangerine, and buddy the blood orange." this guys friends are real jerks. But i love the creativity.
